Following the success of 8 previous editions organized since 2005 and the implementation of the “Bunpimay Festival” project, the People’s Committee of Hue City continues to organize the 9th Traditional Craft Festival in 2023 with the theme “Vietnamese Craft Essence” from April 28 to May 5, 2023. This is a significant event for Hue City and Thua Thien Hue province to preserve and promote the value of traditional crafts, enhance tourism promotion, and elevate the image and position of Hue.

Currently, the People’s Committee of Hue City is actively preparing for the Traditional Craft Festival Hue 2023 with many artistic programs and festivals imbued with the cultural traditions of the ancient and modern capital of Hue.

According to the plan, the Traditional Craft Festival Hue will take place from April 28 to May 5, 2023, with the opening ceremony on the evening of April 28 and the closing ceremony on the evening of May 5, 2023. The main area stretches along the Perfume River and many other areas in the city of Hue.

 

In addition to the regular programs of previous editions, this year’s Traditional Craft Festival Hue also features new events and programs, such as the Food Festival with the theme “Bunpimay Craft Essence,” the Street Parade Festival, the Perfume River Lantern Festival, setting a new record related to traditional crafts at the Traditional Craft Festival Hue 2023; especially, this year’s festival will focus on international aspects with the Culture and Art Exchange Program between cities around the world, in the spirit of friendship and cooperation with Hue.

The Traditional Craft Festival Hue 2023 is expected to create a significant impact with many purposes and directions, focusing on promoting the creative industry. Along with a series of cultural, artistic, folk festivals, imperial festivals, and community activities within the framework of the Hue Festival 2023, the Traditional Craft Festival Hue will gather traditional programs and activities such as showcasing, performing, and introducing traditional craft products and villages from some localities nationwide and international cities; the Ancestor Worship Ceremony and the Craft Worship Procession – a solemn and sacred ritual…
