Hoi An Lantern Festival, Hoi An Full Moon Festival

Hoi An lantern festival is held in Hoi An ancient town on the 14th day of the lunar month and becomes more and more beautiful and sparkling on the night of Trung Thu full moon. On the day of the festival, Hoi street people will turn off all electric lights and hang colorful colorful lanterns that illuminate the entire old town. In the night of lantern festival welcoming Trung Thu, Hoi An ancient town seems to become more bright and sparkling than usual in the colors of red, soft yellow, … emanating from lanterns from all small streets.

In 2020: January 8th, February 7th, March 7th, April 6th, May 6th, June 5th, July 4th, August 3rd, September 1st, September 30th, October 30th, November 28th and December 27th.
The festival starts from around 6pm until 10pm and takes place in the most crowded and bustling are between the Japanese Covered bridge and An Hoi bridge with many interesting and exciting activities attracting people as both domestic and foreign tourists.
Another interesting activity that took place during the festival was the flower lantern drop in Hoai River, which was lucky, peaceful and happy. Lantern paper lights are usually sold along the river for only 5,000VND – 10,000 VND/ piece.
